A Romantic Summer Wedding at The Fitzgerald | Cassi & Liam

Cassi and Liam’s Fitzgerald wedding was one of those days that felt completely and unmistakably like them. From the deep, moody color palette to the vintage-inspired details and the sweetest family moments woven throughout the day, every part of their celebration felt intentional without ever feeling overly planned.
With rich reds and greens, mismatched bridesmaid dresses, an outdoor ceremony in the Fitzgerald courtyard, and sunset portraits around the neighborhood, their summer wedding had all the warmth and romance of a fall day while still embracing the season.
A Warm & Moody Wedding Color Palette
One of my favorite things about Cassi and Liam’s wedding was how much personality they brought into the details.
Their color palette was full of deep reds, rich greens, and warm tones that felt romantic and a little nostalgic. It almost felt like a fall wedding tucked into the middle of summer, which gave the entire day such a unique atmosphere.
Their details leaned vintage and romantic, with thoughtful touches that felt like an extension of who they are rather than simply following a wedding trend. Even the mismatched bridesmaid dresses were carefully chosen to fit within the color palette while allowing each dress to feel individual.
The result was a wedding design that felt collected, personal, and completely their own.
An Intimate Ceremony in the Fitzgerald Courtyard
Cassi and Liam exchanged vows outdoors in the courtyard at The Fitzgerald, surrounded by their closest family and friends.
Having Liam’s grandpa officiate the ceremony made the moment even more meaningful. There was something especially sweet about having such an important part of their wedding day led by someone who has known and loved Liam for so long.
The ceremony itself felt intimate and heartfelt, surrounded by the Fitzgerald’s beautiful historic atmosphere and the people who mattered most to them.
Family Moments That Made the Day So Special
Family was such a big part of Cassi and Liam’s wedding day, and those moments ended up being some of my favorites to photograph.
One of the sweetest was Cassi’s father-daughter dance. Rather than keeping it just between Cassi and her dad, she invited her entire family to join them. Watching everyone come together on the dance floor made the moment feel less like a traditional wedding tradition and more like a celebration of the people who helped shape her.
It was such a simple, genuine moment, but it perfectly captured the feeling of their entire day: warm, close-knit, and centered around the people they love.
Fitzgerald Wedding Portraits
After the ceremony, Cassi and Liam took some time for portraits around the Fitzgerald property. The historic setting paired beautifully with their vintage-inspired details and moody color palette.
Later in the evening, we ventured around the block for sunset portraits. I love when couples are willing to step away from the reception for a little while and explore, because it gives us the opportunity to create portraits that feel different from the more formal wedding party and family photos.
The warm evening light, the neighborhood around The Fitzgerald, and the two of them together made for some of my favorite portraits from their day.
A Wedding That Felt
Completely Like Them
More than anything, Cassi and Liam’s wedding was a beautiful reminder that the best wedding days don’t have to follow a formula.
They chose details that felt personal to them. They incorporated their family in meaningful ways. They had Liam’s grandpa officiate their ceremony, Cassi shared her father-daughter dance with her whole family, and they made time to sneak away together for sunset portraits.
Every part of the day felt intentional, but never like they were trying to create a “perfect” wedding. They were simply celebrating their marriage with the people they love, in a place and atmosphere that felt like them.
And honestly, those are some of my favorite weddings to photograph.
